Join us for the 7th Annual Holiday Lights Bike Ride through Doylestown! Registration is required. All donations will go to the Bucks County Free Library and are non-refundable. Please read the following before registering:
Riders must be age 18+. Parents can power bikes carrying kids, but please be extra careful!
This slow but steady ride is in the dark on open streets with car traffic. Stores in town will be open late. Please be as visible as possible, covered in lights is perfect, and bring the holiday cheer with decorations and costumes! At minimum, wear reflective clothing and use front and rear bike lights.
When we stop, do not block traffic, crosswalks or sidewalks please.
Obey all traffic signals and stop signs. Your safety is your responsibility. Take extra care stopping and turning, and alert others near you as you ride. Stay to the right on all streets that aren't one-way. Be aware of car doors and other road impediments.
The route will be 4-5 miles, and will include hills in town. The route will be available and emailed to registered riders close to the ride date, when we know where the maximum lights are in town. Please know the route and ride with a buddy! It's usually a big group and nearly impossible to stay all together. You can meet a buddy at the start, we'd love for no one to ride alone!
Be sure your lights and attire work well with your bike. Check your bike's tire pressure, brakes and chain before you head out to the ride! Dress for the cold weather. Dangerous conditions will postpone the ride and you'll be notified via email prior to the ride if that's the case.
