VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Discover Doylestown Flower Committee asks for your help on our popular hanging basket program.

We'll be preparing the baskets (moss, soil, etc.) on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 and installing flowers in each basket on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm at Sunlit Farms, 3091 Street Road, Warrington, PA 18976.

All interested persons are welcome.

As we prepare the baskets for planting, each basket is lined with water soaked sphagnum moss and then filled with potting soil.  This can be a little sloppy, so wear old clothes.

The April 20th session is the actual planting of around 20 individual plants in each of the baskets.  There is no heavy lifting as the plants are very small at this stage.  All volunteers will be given instruction and guidance on the planting procedure.

After the baskets have been planted, they'll percolate in the greenhouse for about 4 weeks until ready for transport and installation in town on May 20, 2017.
